There is not a thing more desirable in my mind than being pregnant. Enjoying the little one and raising the child is wonderful and great but the feelings that come with being pregnant are just so powerful. The anticipation, the excitement, the love and the unknowing can all be so miraculous.

I know one of my favorite activities to do while pregnant is getting the nursery prepared. It permits me to stay occupied so the concern of patiently waiting doesn't overcome me. It also permits me to feel closer and start creating a relationship with my child. Finally it even lets my husband and I to get close as we choose the many different products, shades and designs that we put in there.

When I begin planning the nursery I regularly begin with the bigger stuff first. My spouse and I put the crib together and place that positioned in a corner. Afterward we put together the wardrobe which goes near the bed and then the rocking chair or recliner which I try to put next to a window.

Once the bigger items are done with I start seeking accessories that I want in there. Typically I attempt to find bedsheets, a mobile, a changing pad for on top of the dresser and stuff to hang up on the walls.

The last object I look for is a nursery lamp. nursery lamps are so critical for late night feedings. They give plenty of light to nurse or bottle-feed but not so much light that it will keep your infant awake. Mostly I try to purchase a lamp that can stay with them for a while. My boy has a blue lamp with trucks and cars and my little girls both have pink lamps one with butterflies and the other with a ballerina and they adore their pink lamps.

The most important thought to keep in mind with your nursery is to make sure it is a tranquil and relaxing area for you and your baby.
